Governor Hutchinson Provides Today’s COVID-19 Update

In its Thursday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 211 new cases; 1,724 active cases; 168 hospitalized, which is up 2 from Wednesday; 26 on ventilators, which is down 1 from Wednesday; deaths added today, 10, for a total of 5,636; a total of 330,609 cases; PCR tests, 5,632; antigen tests, 1,055.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Washington, 26; Benton, 25; and Pulaski, 24.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“Today's report shows a record increase in vaccine doses administered. With an increase of nearly 33,000 doses administered since yesterday, we continue to work toward the end of this pandemic. Check with your local vaccination locations to do your part.”
